…Officially Announces Candidacy for Alderwoman
Last night I officially announced my candidacy for Alderwoman of the 25th Ward for the St. Louis City Board of Aldermen at the “25th Ward Regular Democratic Club Meeting” held at the Resurrection School Building. While I had already officially spoken with my friend and Incumbent, Dorothy Kirner, as well as the Committeeman of the Democratic Club about my intentions to run, last night was my first “official” announcement! It was great to be bombarded with supportive neighbors after the political club meeting was over and hear that they are enthusiastic about my candidacy and about their desire for positive changes for the 25th Ward!
I want to let you all know that I am excited about the next 4 months. I am looking forward to staying positive and continuing to devote my energy towards improving our Ward! While there is a lot of work ahead, March 3, 2009 will be here before we all know it. It is truly time to “reconnect our community!”
