Hello! I’m Angie Singler, a St Louis City Democratic Candidate for the 25th Ward Board of Aldermen. Welcome to my website!

I’ve been proud to call the 25th Ward my home for 25 years. It’s here that my husband and I raised our three children, we developed long-lasting friendships, and I learned what it takes to be an important part of our community.

We need a change in the Dutchtown and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods now more than ever! And I’m ready to take an active role in restoring what once was the stable 25th Ward. I will be an Alderwoman who has lots of energy, follows through with citizens concerns, gets the community more involved in decisions, and is active in bringing about the positive changes we really need in our community!

I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009…so we can truly, “reconnect our community!”

Angie, the best of luck in your efforts to become the new Alderwoman of the 25th ward. This diverse ward is important to the future well-being of the entire city! If the 25th continues to slide downhill the city will go with it. The 25th has always been a bedrock ward. It needs new blood to ensure things improve. Your the gal for the job!! Where can I send a small contibution? Good Luck! Pat Herod

Angie, this is only the beginning. I can see great things happening in the future in the 25th Ward under your leadership. You know you have my support. Good Luck, Cherri Wilson

Angie, I know you will make great changes to an area that is in need of someone like you to take charge. You are an extraordinary person and I wish you the best of luck. There are a lot of people rooting for you! Kim Gore

Angie! As a new resident of the 25th I would love to see more development and positive changes made to the neighborhood. I am looking forward to working with you and the rest our pro-active neighbors to make the 25th a great place to live for years to come. Keep up the good work! Annie Ortbals

Angie, I’m really glad to hear that you are stepping up to the plate to drive the community and its conscious. I grew up one block over from you - actually spent a lot of childhood time in the home you live in with my friend, Cindy. It was an absolutely wonderful neighborhood to grow up in. We walked to Scruggs Elementary and picked up our schoolmates along the 2-1/2 block walk. In those gradeschool days (1964-1973) every neighbor was a parent, watching out for all of us and keeping us in line. We’d spend a Saturday sweeping up the alleys, playing hide and seek, basketball at our house, seeing who could get outside first on Saturday mornings. We’d play outside until 10 pm in the summer and there were no worries about safety. Those days are long gone but the spirit of community is still a concept that most people long for. I hope you are able to rekindle that spirit and turn a collection of city blocks into a community that is concerned for their environment and the people that dwell among them. You go girl!
